Gallerist on artist
The Artrial gallery is pleased to open its doors to welcome you and invite you to enter a new world of sensitivity and beauty on the occasion of the exhibition “Dazzling Côte Vermeille”
Sen Shombit, the painter that you are invited to discover, is a singular Artist. French of Indian origin, he has been painting and drawing since a young age.
After the Government Art College in Calcutta then Ecole Superiore des Beaux Arts in Paris and Academi Julian in Penninghen, with a solid artistic training, he has painted tirelessly from then on, to find and assert his style.
At first glance, we are splashed by the shimmer of his colors. We seek to understand this abstract painting, but very quickly we discover hidden under these scales of colors, figurative representations which challenge us, entangled in other motifs between the real and the imaginary.
It’s a whole story that presents itself before our hypnotized eyes. In an unconscious initiatory journey, he takes us into his plastic constructions filled with meaning, we discover his vocabulary, his colorful and mysterious dream world where he merges time and space.
Thus are born works inspired by his life, his childhood, his experiences, his wounds and his loves.
His fascinating paintings populated by multiple presences with abundant richness, is a feast for the eye and a dialogue with the soul of the viewer. If color has no meaning for the intelligence, it has all the power over sensitivity and the Artist does not deprive himself of it!
This is all that SEN wants to express without ever forgetting his motto “Love and courage.”
Perpignan, south of France
Perpignan is a southern French city near the Mediterranean coast and the border with Spain. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Majorca during the 13th century, and a significant Catalan influence is evident in its medieval core. South of the old town, the huge Gothic-and-Romanesque Palace of the Kings of Majorca has ramparts with views to the coast.
